Real-Time ReportingReal-time reporting is accomplished by sharing a network connection with the court reporter. In effect, the rough-draft deposition transcript is transmitted directly to the client's laptop on a real-time basis. Counsel can then read the text file, make any notes, and peruse the proceeding for testimony review. Clients can also prepare for cross-examination, create a deposition summary, etc. When scheduling your real-time deposition, let us know if you have experience with realtime, the software and hardware used, and the number of counsel hooking up to real-time. Technicians often accompany the Schmitt & Lehmann, Inc. court reporter to assure operational laptop-to-laptop connections. Real-time reporting has become a critical and necessary litigation tool for many of our clients. |
