Bob Lehmann and Jan Schmitt founded Schmitt & Lehmann, Inc. in 1991. Since then, the court reporting firm has grown to over 15 professional, friendly, and highly competent court reporters. 

Schmitt & Lehmann, Inc. takes pride in long-term relationships with our clients, our court reporters, and our staff. 

Both Jan Schmitt and Bob Lehmann continue as active reporters and business managers, allowing them to add, update, and fine-tune client services. 

Jan and Bob have carefully chosen Vancouver, Washington, and Portland, Oregon locations for your convenience. Both offices offer staff and conference rooms, are located next to major hotels, excellent restaurants, and many transportation options.

Dedicated Staff

S&L, Inc.’s full-time office staff have become important team members for our clients. Your daily phone calls, faxes and emails receive immediate attention. As well, our Video Conferencing system allows you the opportunity to communicate through the Web, giving you 24-hour access to scheduling. 

Production services, including transcript assembly, exhibit assembly, and electronic formatting have dedicated staff and equipment providing a professional product.  S&L, Inc. provides friendly, responsive, and experienced employees ready to serve your reporting needs. Teamwork & Continuity

The S&L, Inc. team meets exacting professional standards and provides precision in real-time court reporting. Our court reporters average over 10 years of experience and are Certified Shorthand Reporters (CSR).  Reporters are assigned to specific cases to provide consistency and continuity to the record-keeping process.  Clients benefit by way of a higher quality transcript and accurate exhibit management.  Our reporter staff has strict requirements for transcription delivery, ensuring our clients can stay on task with case time requirements.  There can be no compromise when it comes to getting the record correct.
